Black Folks.....Can't Nobody Tell You NOTHING!!!
I need for someone to please tell me why every time someone tries to speak to our race concerning our ills and need for self improvement that there is so much backlash and uproar from our community to which we immediately say – ‘He’s talking down to us’! ‘Why are they calling us out like we’re the only one’. ‘Who the hell does he think he is’? Why in the hell isn't there this much uproar and energy put into righting what is so obviously wrong? Why can’t we muster up this type energy to whip these little bad kids azz? Why can’t we find this much mouth to speak out and run the drug dealers out of our community that we worked so damn hard to be able to purchase a house in 30 years ago? Why can’t we have a mouth like Cynthia McKinney where as pushing for better...

"I need for someone to please tell me why every time someone tries to speak to our race concerning our ills and need for self improvement that there is so much backlash and uproar from our community to which we immediately say – ‘He’s talking down to us’!--> Because usually that’s exactly what they are doing, Instead of simply recanting the facts to bring them to the fore front for us to look at & put forth an effort to change as it should be it’s more like disrespectful name calling which is unacceptable. ‘Why are they calling us out like we’re the only one’.--> Exactly why do they point the finger of blame towards us like their shyit don’t stink too! "Who the hell does he think he is’?"--> They’re not God so they are far from perfect, as the saying goes if you’re not part of the solution you are DEFINITELY part of the problem. Instead of them sitting behind their desk barking out biased information & statistics how but why can't they take their behinds to the nearest low income housing development & see what they can do to help. "Why in the hell isn't there this much uproar and energy put into righting what is so obviously wrong?"--> Because two wrongs don’t make it right! If they have enough energy & care to speak about it then they should divert that energy into being about it.. "Why can’t we muster up this type energy to whip these little bad kids azz?"--> We do but because so many of us have been told that we shouldn’t and that if we do were going to jail many of our people have gotten a little lazy in that department. They now prefer to put their kids in “time out” as if that crap really works! "Why can’t we find this much mouth to speak out and run the drug dealers out of our community that we worked so damn hard to be able to purchase a house in 30 years ago?"--> In today’s society our people are so family centered that it’s hard for them to really care about what’s happening on the outside of their doors. "Why can’t we have a mouth like Cynthia McKinney where as pushing for better..."--> We can and we do but, so many of our people are so lost, confused and disillusioned that it’s at a point where it’s going to take more than just words to bring them back to the reality. I feel what you are saying, and I agree with you, but to try and shed some light to a few of your questions from my perspective I would have to say it's kind of like when a mother knows her child is bad, she can call him a bad azz little boy and it's ok but if someone else does she's going to raise holly hell regardless of how right they may be. We as a people are naturally protective of our own, so when someone speaks bad about us as a race we automatically jump into defense mode, it's damn near an involuntary action if you think about it.. I clown when I hear it because most of the people are quick to say "black people are this" or black people are that" which places "All" African American people in that negative category, and I'm sorry but I refuse to be called or labeled lazy, sorry or any other negative or stereotypical term when I know I'm not! I was raised better so I know better therefore I do better. I feel black people are the seal that keeps this country together but "nigg3rs" are the ones helping to bring it down.. There IS a difference! There are bad people in all nationalities, but African Americans are always the ones catching heat for their wrong doings! Everyone else’s dirt seems to get swept up under the rug! We seldom hear on the news the good things that have occurred with in our communities because that's not the side of us they want to publicize. The bottom line is this until we as a people wake the h#ll up and start correcting our wrongs nothing ever going to change! These nothing behind dudes need to step up, stop making excuses and help take care of their responsibilities as the father of a child or children.. Until the women of the world close their legs, choose better mates & stop looking for a hand out in the form of a government check. It’s all on us.. I hope I was able to be of some assistance on your blog topic.. Take care
